What is a peptide?
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids linked by peptide bonds. Peptides are smaller than proteins and are studied across many research fields, including metabolic research, recovery research, skin research and growth hormone research. Lyophilised (freeze dried) peptides are shipped as a white powder in sealed vials and reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before use in a research protocol.
GLP-1 peptides
GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor peptides such as Retatrutide and Tirzepatide are studied in metabolic and weight management research. Tirzepatide is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist. Retatrutide is a triple agonist targeting GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. These compounds are used in research laboratories, not for human consumption.
Growth hormone secretagogues
Growth hormone secretagogues (GHS) such as CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin stimulate the natural release of growth hormone in research models. CJC-1295 with DAC has a longer half life; the No DAC version used in our blend has a shorter duration. These are studied in growth hormone pulse research.
Copper peptides
GHK-Cu (copper peptide) is a naturally occurring tripeptide bound to a copper ion, studied in skin, collagen and tissue repair research. It appears in the literature for its role in collagen production and tissue remodelling.
Recovery peptides
Recovery research peptides include TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4) and BPC-157 (Body Protective Compound). They are studied in tissue repair, recovery and regenerative research protocols.
Certificate of Analysis (COA)
A Certificate of Analysis is the laboratory report for a specific batch. It confirms the identity of the substance, the amount per vial, and where tested, the purity percentage. A COA from an independent third party laboratory such as Janoshik is the strongest proof of what is actually in the vial. We publish a COA for every batch we sell.
Purity percentage
Purity measures how much of the sample is the target peptide versus impurities. Research grade peptides are sold to a 99%+ purity standard. The purity percentage appears on the certificate for purity-tested batches.
Batch code
A batch code (or lot number) is a unique identifier printed on each vial. It links the physical vial to its published certificate. Our batch codes follow the format SP-2608-R10, where SP identifies the brand, 2608 the batch period, and the final letters the compound.
Lyophilisation
Lyophilisation (freeze drying) removes water from the peptide under vacuum, leaving a stable powder that can be stored long term at -20 degrees C and reconstituted when needed.
Reconstitution
Reconstitution is the process of dissolving lyophilised peptide powder using bacteriostatic water or another solvent before use in a research protocol. The correct volume depends on the research protocol and the peptide concentration needed.
Bacteriostatic water
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. It is commonly used to reconstitute research peptides and allows multiple draws from the same vial within the recommended window.
